Twist
In The Tale Ltd.
Mr.Topgun
was the CEO of TITL. Twist in The Tale Ltd. (TITL). TITL was a
mid-sized company that was engaged in the business of manufacturing
various types of mouses for computers. It was a multinational
company with headquarters in Connecticut, USA and had offices
all over India. Most employees referred to it as “Teattel”
while speaking about it.
TITL was a
fast growing company. Several employees were recruited from all
over India, they belonged to diverse cultures and came from varied
organisations. Therefore, the culture of TITL was still evolving.
Like most other organisations, particularly the multinational
companies, TITL too had a set of values and a code of culture
for the employees to follow as guiding principles. But few employees
and senior management actually understood what these stood for.
Topgun reiterated them constantly at employees’ meets, conferences,
etc., but several employees were doubtful whether Topgun himself
understood these well
It was amidst
this rat race that Smallfry, Fasttrack and Takeiteasy had been
working for the past few months now. They were part of a workforce
comprising various types of Engineers, Chartered Accountants,
fresh college graduates, MBAs etc. The three employees also lived
close to each other in Mumbai where TITL was headquartered in
India.
They they were
rather impressed by the company background, the value systems and
beliefs. But the trio had little inkling of what was in store for
them at TITL
